Intercession of the Theotokos Church

The initial church with a small bell tower has been built in 1998 by Anatolie Cotrutsa, a hard worker, who did not spare his health and forces during construction.

After a pilgrimage inspired by the reverent monastic lifestyle at the Intercession Convent in Kiev, the Senior Nun Martha suggested the name of the new-built church to be Intercession of Theotokos. This choice has been proved by the wonderful phenomenon of a rainbow above the Convent in a sunny day before Annunciation holiday. Spiritual Father Andrew exclaimed: This is the intercession of our Mother, the Patroness of nuns!

For the first time the divine service in this church has been held in the first Sunday of the Great Lent in 1998 by Archimandrit Andrei Cotrutsa.

The interior walls has been painted in the academic style by sister Olga Soloviev, inhabitant of the Convent.

The iconostasis has been decorated with icons of the twelfth holidays and the icon of Theotokos «Sinisterial of Sinners» and 24 relic particles have been donated by the Noul-Neamts Monastery, Transnistria.

The divine service has been held daily here untill 2005.
